Supervising staff brings up many challenges. Solid and consistent supervisory practices are the key to a thriving organization. These workshops and coaching sessions will help supervisors:

• understand the needs and behavior of their staff
• have strategies to listen actively and build authentic relationships with their team members
• create and communicate clear expectations
• develop and practice a consistent approach to offering sound and effective feedback that addresses staff needs and supports development

Helping young people develop social emotional skills requires a staff with strong social emotional awareness and skills. These workshops and coaching sessions will help staff:

• self-reflect on their social emotional strengths and areas of growth
• develop strategies to self-regulate in moments of stress 
• build authentic relationships with young people
• model and teach young people helpful approaches to build healthy relationships, communicate needs and respond to big feelings

Conflict is a normal part of being in relationships. In fact, conflicts often bring us closer together.  These workshops and coaching sessions will help staff:

• understand their triggers and conflict styles
• understand the triggers and behaviors of the young people they work with
• develop new strategies to navigate conflicts with intention and support their young people to de-escalate, learn and grow through conflict

As schools and camps reimagine structures to meet the needs of today’s communities, Restorative Justice (RJ) frameworks with its roots in Indigenous teachings has made its way into the mainstream educational discourse. Bringing RJ into our school and camp communities can meet so many current needs regarding: community building, staff engagement, supporting changing behaviors, promoting equity, developing social emotional skills and responding to conflict. These workshops and coaching sessions will:

• introduce the what and why of Restorative Justice
• support communities to shift mindsets and systems, develop new skills and implement restorative justice practices to build community and repair harm with sustainability
• help communities lean into their shared values and feel more connected, supported and accountable to each other

• deepen their connections with one another
• better understand one another's communication styles, priorities and core values
• develop skills to listen deeply, communicate, problem solve and create possibility together
